Job Title: Director of Programs
Organization: Unite Mississippi (501C-3 Non-Profit Organization)
Location: Jackson, Mississippi
Position Type: Full-Time / Contractor-1099
Reports To: Board Chair
Job Summary:
The Director of Programs oversees the implementation of all programs of the non-profit. This role ensures that programs reflect our Mission Statement to inspire, equip, and amplify as identified by the Board of Directors. The Director of Programs serves as the primary contact for program operations, works full-time, and reports directly to the board.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the administrative tasks of all programs.
- Manage volunteers working in the programs of the organization.
- Lead projects with community leaders that align with the strategic plan.
- Plan, schedule, and implement logistics of monthly luncheons, equipping events, and other programs.
- Provide input to the Board of Directors in budgets for active programs.
- Develop and maintain program documentation, including policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and impact through regular assessments and data analysis, making necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, supervising, mentoring, and developing program staff and volunteers.
- Represent Unite Mississippi at community events, meetings, and other forums to promote programs and build awareness of our mission.
- Ability to work from home.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher level of education preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience successfully leading non-profit programs is preferred.
- Strong organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, and execution of tasks and duties.
- Strong communication skills including written, oral, and public speaking.
- Strong skills in building trust with diverse groups of people.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance measurement.

Compensation:
- Salary is determined based on experience.
- The hours are flexible and include some nights, weekends, and occasional travel within the State of Mississippi.
